Now we are looking for Sales Executive to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at Grand Hyatt Amman

Grand Hyatt Amman enjoys a prime location in Amman. Grand Hyatt Amman is only a 30-minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport. The 312 rooms equipped with an array of modern amenities and latest technology.

For meetings and conferences, the hotel is well equipped for hosting business and social gatherings of every description, with nine flexible function rooms. Over 340 colleagues are committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury, quality and service which define the company.

As for Sales Executive you will be reporting directly to Director of Sales and Marketing and below are some of the key responsibilities:

Administration

  • To ensure that an efficient and accurate filing system, both manual as well as electronically is maintained at all times.

  • To ensure that up to Opera records of all corporate and group accounts.

  • To attend the daily and weekly Sales & Marketing Meeting.

  • To ensure that all meetings are well planned, efficient and results oriented.

  • To keep and to safeguard all contracts and financial documents.

Financial

  • To develop in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Associate Director of Sales a structured, timely, achievable personal business plan.

  • To achieve targeted RMSI position in competition set and Amman market.

  • To support staff needs in other Divisions based on the hotel priorities and anticipated business levels.

  • To maintain complete and supported records of all sales agreements, contract and quotes for the hotel as per Hyatt International Policies & Procedures.

  • To have a good understanding of contribution margins for each product results and work with respective heads of departments to maximize Operating results.

  • To achieve targets in terms of number of new active Accounts, Room Nights, Banquet Covers and Revenue as set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

  • To submit monthly entertainment schedule to the Director of Sales & Marketing for approval.

Other Duties

  • To attend and contribute to all training sessions and meetings as required.

  • To exercise responsible management and behavior at all times and positively represent the hotel management team and Hyatt.

  • To handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.

  • To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.

  • To maintain strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations.

  • To read the hotel's Employee Handbook and to have an understanding of and to adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health, safety and environment.

  • To ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.

  • To respond to changes in the Sales & Marketing function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results.

  • Proven track of a minimum 1 years’ experience as Sales Executive in 5 stars hotel in Amman, Jordan.

  • Charismatic leader who can inspire and motivate team.

  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums - presentation, telephone; correspondence, face-to-face etc. in English, a 2nd language is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Ambitious and eager to learn, grow and further develop own career.

  • High level of common sense and high skill of problem solving and decision-making.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Drive for results to outperform competition.
