We are currently seeking an Outdoor Adventure Supervisor to share our Vision – to create the most imaginative, authentic and meaningful wellness experience.Under the general direction of the Integrative Well-Being Director, the Outdoor Adventure Supervisor is accountable for the following: Supervising the Outdoor Adventure team, facilitating all outdoor adventure programs, maintaining all outdoor adventure equipment, structures, and facilities, ensure monthly inspections of challenge course, high and low ropes elements to include climbing wall, training and team development, curriculum development, and administrative/supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Facilitation and problem solving skills vital

  • Detail oriented, creative, and flexible

  • Strong supervision abilities

  • Strong leadership skills required

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team player

  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills

  • Computer skills in Excel, Windows, Microsoft Word and preferred experience in Resort Suites

  • Climbing ability and comfortable working at heights of 35-50ft to include traversing cables

  • Regional knowledge of outdoor venues and resources

  • Ability to perform and facilitate and train all activities related to outdoor adventure

  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions

  • Must be able to hike 3-4 mile/hour pace, miles ranging from 2-14 miles traveled

  • Mountain biking, 10-15 mile/hour pace, miles ranging from 5-20 miles traveled

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. This includes working overnight on site to manage emergencies if needed.

  • Must be able to lift 25lb or more.

Education and/or Experience

  • Proficient knowledge of Miraval Philosophy and Mindfulness Applications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in facilitation and/or guiding outdoor adventure programs

  • Minimum of five years of hiking and mountain biking guiding experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in facilitation of High and Low Ropes Elements preferred

  • ACCT Facilitator Level II Preferred

  • ACCT Challenge Course Manager Certification Preferred

  • CPR, AED & First Aid Certification

  • Waterfront Lifeguard Certification Preferred

  • Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder certification preferred
