Hyatt Director of Learning, China in BEIJING, China
The Director of Learning & Development, China will partner with the China leadership team and Director of Learning Asia Pacific to develop and drive the Learning strategy for Hyatt hotels in China to meet the learning need of both the pre-opening and operational hotels. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Provides effective and innovative learning opportunities that allow our internal talents achieve their full potential.
Partners with Asia Pacific and China Leadership Team, develop and manage talent development programs to provide just-in-time talent pipeline for China growth. Develops, tests and implements learning tools for Hyatt Hotels in China. Guides and inspires Hotel Learning Leads to achieve their goals. Establishes priorities and directs the work for the learning team in pre-opening hotels. Serves as facilitator on strategic projects and leadership development programs. Analyze the ROI of the training programs. Drives and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
Management experiences in learning and development function in well-established organization for 5 years, preferably from retail, luxury and hospitality industry. Experience in leading a team of learning professionals. Ability to establish and build collaborative relationships with individuals across a broad range of functions and levels of leadership. Knowledge of adult learning theory and the effective application in a business setting. Ability to build business case to support learning/development interventions and assess impact. Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Chinese.
