One of the finest situated hotels in Birmingham City Centre, Hyatt Regency Birmingham is a modern hotel that enjoys a prime central location. Our luxury hotel is just opposite the Library of Birmingham (the largest regional library in Europe) and five minutes’ walk from the exclusive Mailbox Bull Ring shopping centre and Grand Central, as well as Broad Street and Brindley Place. The hotel features 319 luxury rooms and suites, our Aria Restaurant, where guests can enjoy relaxed surroundings whilst enjoying cuisine with a selection of fine wines, or our Gentleman and Scholar Pub who specialises in gin cocktails and light bites with a stunning heated terrace which opens onto Broad Street. We also have 10 meeting rooms and Amala Spa & Club for wellness/beauty treatments a pool and gym.

We are excited to be recruiting for an enthusiastic HR Officer to join our small team. Reporting to the Director of HR you will help to bring our purpose to life and support the Leadership Team on their people activities. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, a real generalist position with exposure to all things, such as employee life cycle, employee relations, absence management, engagement, statistics and learning & development. We are a friendly yet professional hotel and operate in a fast paced, 24-hour environment.

Initially this role will be working on a part time basis, with flexibility on the days/times of work, but to cover 24 hours per week. This can be discussed at interview stage.


The ideal candidate will be well organised and focused on achieving our goals, you will be passionate about enhancing our purpose and ensuring our people are a focal point. This is a development role, where the right candidate can be involved in all things HR and be a trainer for Hyatt programmes.

Previous HR experience in a similar role is essential and hospitality experience would be desirable. You will be a people person, have good listening skills and can organise your time and workload accordingly. Experience with HR systems would be advantageous.
