Hyatt Corporate Sales Specialist, Transient & Group Market (task force) REMOTE BASED in CHICAGO, Illinois

The Corporate Sales Specialist will be responsible for providing task force support for all Hyatt Hotels in North America. A Corporate Sales Specialist is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, prospecting and generating new business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals and contracts, maintaining organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. A Corporate Sales Specialist will also participate or lead sales and other staff meetings, as well as presentations to customers. A Corporate Sales Specialist also works as a team member with the sales and event teams and will share an assigned Administrative Professional and other support staff.

Experience - 3 years of hotel sales experience, group & transient experience preferred. - Strong negotiation skills / development of successful sales strategies. -Pro active, business development experience is strongly preferred. -Experience with Hyatt systems including Envision is strongly preferred.

Education - High School Diploma required. - Bachelors Degree preferred.

Additional Comments and Requirements - Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment. - Ability to travel as required on a national basis (approximately 20%) for on boarding for each task force assignment.
