Hyatt Director of Guest Preference in CHICAGO, Illinois


The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the voice of the guest is heard throughout operations at Hyatt. This will be done through working directly with operations. The position will require extensive knowledge of analyzing guest feedback through various channels as well as communicating the insights to the respective stakeholders that will action this information. This person will perform reporting and analysis to derive strategic insights and make recommendations to stakeholders based on data, educate stakeholders about the data, as well as perform administrative tasks for the program. This person will also administer Hyatt’s Focus Improvement Plan (F.I.P.) hotel level action planning with the goal of improving the guest experience and assist with ad-hoc research projects in and for the Operations teams (F&B, Rooms, and Culinary). This role will evolve over time, as we do not always know what special projects will be commissioned, so it is paramount that this person is very comfortable working in ambiguous situations, and that he/she is highly adaptable.



  • Minimum of 8 years of consumer insights and market research in a corporate or agency environment
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Hospitality experience highly desirable


  • BA in business or psychology
  • MBA is preferred, concentrations in market research preferred

  • Microsoft office, and advance knowledge/skill and ability to work with excel
  • Guest satisfaction tools, similar to Medallia tool
  • Cognos, SPSS
