Hyatt Manager, Corporate Marketing in CHICAGO, Illinois

Position Summary:

As a key member of the Corporate Marketing team, the Manager of Corporate Marketing will be responsible for supporting the overall global corporate marketing strategy with a focus on B2C marketing communications and programs for the master brand. This person will have the opportunity to create strategies that drive business, design creative engagement inititiatives, execute multiple marketing plans, and manage key relationships.

With a heavy focus on customer needs, innovation and brand-specific design, the Manager of Corporate Marketing will work closely with internal cross functional teams including Hyatt Gold Passport, Consumer Insights & Analytics, Corporate Communications, Hotel/Field Marketing, Brand Management, Global Operations, and external partners to ensure all programs align across brands and deliver on the B2C marketing strategy.

This role requires a strategic thinker with proven success in managing relationships and executing robust marketing campaigns to multiple consumer segments in a competitive space.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for consumer marketing, strong analytical skills, a unique ability to communicate well with others (both in one-on-one and presentation environments) and proven project management skills. Hospitality industry and/or relationship management experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and execute on the strategic direction for B2C marketing plans as aligned to the overall Corporate Marketing goals.

• Manage consumer campaigns and work collaboratively with the in-house creative team and external agencies to ensure consistency within a determined communications hierarchy and within global brand style guides.

• Analyze global B2C trends, information and segments to help identify future sources of market share growth.

• Design engagement opportunities with all Hyatt brands for target consumers.

• Support Senior Manager, Corporate Marketing with strategic roadmap development, evaluation of prospects and project management.

• Develop brand focused educational offerings for consumer clients.

• Maintain knowledge of portfolio of brands, business needs, customer segments and competitive landscape, including market conditions, trends and advertising

• Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization around Corporate Marketing initiatives so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.

• Together with Insights & Analytics, study member trends, insights, behaviors and segmentation to continuously improve B2C strategies, analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities.

• Together with Finance, manage budget and spend based on priorities.

• Responsible for efficient development and execution of integrated marketing communications for Hyatt Master Brand including multi-language campaigns

• Understanding of operational and revenue needs to effectively execute marketing programs that are on brand, on target and deliver positive ROI and optimal performance

• Management of Hyatt Master Brand programs, including strategy and execution of all supporting internal and external communications

• Manage multi-brand communications plans and creative executions across key Hyatt-owned channels, including but not limited to: digital billboard, hyatt.com and email

• Responsible for brand education and relationship-building within marketing and across corporate departments, regional teams and hotels

• Maintain knowledge of portfolio of brands, business needs, customer segments and competitive landscape, including market conditions, trends and advertising

• Manage planning, forecasting and tracking of global budget across all projects and tactics.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5 years of brand management and/or integrated marketing experience across a variety of product/service categories; noteworthy if inclusive of hotel or travel categories

• Experience developing and producing video, digital, and print communications, including writing briefs, guiding creative and media plan development with internal/external agencies, overseeing multi-channel production timelines and budgets

• Strategic thinker capable of enhancing and growing a program

• Relationship management experience

• Consumer marketing acumen including customer segmentation and analytics

• Creative/innovative approach to problem solving

• History of delivering results and implementing change

• Proven ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization

• Ability to build and leverage internal and external relationships

• Highly professional and able to appropriately represent company to external partners

• Strong account management and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task

• Excellent writing and presentation skills

Education:

• Bachelors degree required

• Graduate degree a plus

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job:

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

• Proven analytical ability to understand the hotel business or other related business categories and apply knowledge to brand experience innovation and integrated marketing communications
