Hyatt Product Development Manger - Marketing Systems in CHICAGO, Illinois


Position Summary The Product Development Manager-Marketing Systems reports to the Director, E-Commerce & Marketing Systems and works with a team of product development managers. This role interacts with Hyatt colleagues globally as well as vendor partners. This manager’s primary responsibility will be to work with key Hyatt stakeholders to (Marketing, Hyatt IT, etc.) to manage and grow a collection of systems supporting Hyatt Marketing programs.

Candidates for this role must have experience managing marketing systems as well as consumer-facing online products, managing vendors and working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. This is a hands-on product manager role, which does require a deep understanding of database management, consumer experience best practices and project management principles. Candidates should have strong analytical, marketing and technical skills to leverage as he/she works with team members to support products and establish the technology through the support of internal and vendor resources to execute on projects.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical and product design aspects of key Hyatt marketing systems from strategy to development to on-going support
  • Conduct necessary steps to trouble shoot technical issues as they arise and work directly with technical resources to resolve
  • Project manage application enhancements along with internal and vendor development teams
  • Work with multiple stakeholders during project planning, requirements gathering, writing functional & technical documentation, issue tracking & resolution, leading quality assurance efforts, project lifecycle execution
  • Communicate project status to the Director E-Commerce & Marketing Systems and other stakeholders
  • Work with IT teams to support the scoping, development, testing and launch of custom programs or new applications
  • Develop collaborative relationships with business stakeholders and vendor teams and serve as the first point of contact for marketing system technology projects
  • Leverage database experience working with data warehouse and analytics teams; understand permission management and use skills to access and utilize the database
  • Lead product management and support of marketing systems including Hyatt Brand Manager, Digital Asset Management system & tools, Special Offers tool, Meetings & Events sites and related single sign-on integrations

  • 7 years managing or acting as a project technical lead with an E-Commerce or IT product development
  • 5 years managing marketing programs


  • Bachelor's degree required

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

  • Understanding of database structures, content management systems, campaign management systems
