Hyatt Program Director – Cyber Security in CHICAGO, Illinois

Description:

At Hyatt Hotels, Cyber Security is a very important part of our mission to take care of people so they can be their best. The Program Director - Franchise Cyber Security will be a crucial contributor to Hyatt's mission, working to extend cyber security protections to our Franchise hotels. As the individual with primary responsibility for our Franchise Cyber Security program, the Program Manager will work to expand our existing program, liaison with owners and operators, and coordinate our efforts with our Franchise Operations team. This highly technical role will have a high degree of visibility throughout the organization and will have a deeply meaningful impact on the safety and security of guest and colleague data.

Manage Hyatt's Franchise Cyber Security program which includes procurement of applicable security technologies, testing in third-party computing environments, and coordinating deployment as well as ongoing monitoring efforts.

Liaison with key stakeholders inside and outside the company including Franchise Operations, Legal, Risk Management, security solutions providers, and third-party Franchise owners and operators.

Prepare and present status updates for key stakeholders and present program milestones to executive leadership.

Work with the security team to ensure correct log routing, tune policy enforcement, and latest software patch updates are made available.

Manage relationship with Managed Security Service Provider, ensuring SLA's are met and incident playbooks are followed correctly every time.

Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum of five years’ experience in the Cyber Security or Program Management fields preferred; however, any combination of experience, education, and certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.

Demonstratable experience managing large-scale technology programs preferred.

Experience working in an organization with a Franchise model required.

Familiarity with cutting-edge security technologies including Zero-Trust Network Access, Passwordless Authentication, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Security Incident and Event Management required.

Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience preparing and presenting status updates for executive leadership preferred.

Experience with creating and implementing cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.

Knowledge of information systems terminology, controls, and practices.

Proactive self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a larger team. Will have functional oversight over other individuals supporting the program.

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to effectively interact with different areas and level of the organization, including executive leadership.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree or better in Cyber Security, Information Systems, or any other security-related subject is preferred; however any combination of education, experience, and certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Any of the PMP, CISA, CISM, or CISSP certifications are preferred; however any combination of certification, education, and experience that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable.

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

Expert user of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Experience with Zero-Trust Network Access, Passwordless Authentication, and SIEM tools

Additional Comments and Requirements

Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment.

Travel may include approximately 5% of work time.
