Hyatt Senior Manager, Global Development Marketing in CHICAGO, Illinois

The Senior Manager, Development Marketing will focus on the strategic intersection between Hyatt’s development team and all of its Commercial Services Functions. With so many competitive development deals, we need to strengthen our points of differentiation on a much more deep and frequesnt basis. This senior newly created role is the “go between” of our most Senior Development leaders and our entire top line revenue teams. The focus of this associates work will deliver value to our owners , developers and management companies. This Senior Manager would collaborate closely with brand teams, loyalty program, digital, sales and RM to create a refined and customizable B2B marketing strategy, and lead the execution of development marketing programs including collateral material design and content creation. This role supports the SVPs of Full Service and Select Service Development, as well as the VP of Global Brands, SVP Digital, SVP Loyalty by ensuring great attention to detail and follow through of all relevant strategic and tactical elements. Important that this leader can drive excellent internal communications with key stakeholders including brand, legal and operations counterparts, and supports the growth of a cohesive and passion group of brand advocates in corporate, regional and field locations. This role will support development initiatives globally. * Steward of the ALL CS functions that can effectively communicate opportunity, value, points of difference depending on who we are up against on a respective deal and benefits critical business stakeholders including potential owners and developers. * Engages and inspires the development team around brand position and strategies that provide clarity in bringing the brand to life in a way that drives business results. * Participates in ENTIRE CS strategy reviews and discussion and helps develop focused tactical initiatives to support development goals and strategies. * Helps to create and implement a franchise development marketing plan and works collaboratively with brand and in-house creative team to ensure consistency within a determined communications hierarchy and within brand and global style guidelines. * Manage development of creative collateral with studio and brand / development stakeholders * Works with consumer insights team to analyze and understand competitive landscape, and unique opportunities for CS differentiation in the marketplace * Develop and manage internal processes for analyzing and updating marketing data on a quarterly basis and incorporating into all B2B marketing assets * Develop amplification plans for brand campaigns, loyalty work and Mobile /Digital with a focus on development stakeholders and driving business results. * Regularly communicates Developemnt and CS updates to key development internal and external stakeholders and drives transparency and excellent internal communications practices. * Is seen as the single point of entry into CS for key Developemnt leader * Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values

Experience * Minimum 5 years of advertising design or marketing experience * Understanding of franchise development and the competitive landscape * Ability to be a strategic thought leader capable of working with various Dev.leaders and bringing them the right CS point of view, distinction and relevancy to successfully close more deals for Hyatt * Understanding of sales, brand marketing, loyalty and digital across multiple communications channels Education * Undergraduate degree required. * Ability to leverage education to be strong communicator and strategic thinker across a wide set of Commercial functions Computer Skills * Microsoft applications * Design tools Additional Requirements * Proven track record of developing and executing-b to-b brand management plans focused on driving business results * Ability to successfully work independently * Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment and flex style to various leadership types * Ability to travel 20% to some industry conferences * Strong communication skills with a particular emphasis on creation of compelling written B2B copy.
