Hyatt Social Media Manager in CHICAGO, Illinois

Description:

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to manage several of Hyatt’s brand-level social media channels. This person will be responsible for creating and scheduling social media content for a variety of Hyatt brands and their existing social media platforms while ensuring they are up-to-date with compelling and relevant content that aligns with the overall business objectives and supportive of any brand initiatives (such as campaigns, new openings, etc.) in a social-first, platform specific manner.

The Social Media Manager will work closely with fellow Social Media Managers and the Global Director of Content Marketing Social Media, as well aswithpeers across the Digital,Brand, Communications and other departments, to ensure the content on Hyatt’s social platforms is a true reflection of the brands and supports social business goals. They will also have responsibility of ensuring any content being posted on social platforms is relevant to the platform and targeted to the appropriate audience.

The primary job responsibilities are:

  • Creating, curating and publishing social media content for several of Hyatt’s brand’s evergreen social media platforms

  • Creation and maintenance of evergreen strategic plan and corresponding social content calendars

  • Develop, execute and report on integrated brand campaigns, working cross-functionally with various departments to translate brand campaign objectives into social-first strategies and plans

  • Manage development of photography and video content shoots for select brands - leveraging content creators, influencers and partners to create social-first content for several of Hyatt’s brand channels

  • Leverage content creator & influencer partnerships as needed while reporting on various learnings and measurement of relevant KPIs

  • Leverage user generated content into evergreen social media content via partner tool in unique ways

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive awareness, engagement and traffic through social media content and paid advertising

  • Identify new trends and opportunities to develop social-first pilots for priority brands

  • Paid media management - create and manage ongoing monthly social campaigns on select platforms for various Hyatt brands

  • Community management of several Hyatt brand pages and ensuring consumer requests are dealt with by Global Care Center in a timely manner and any questions/comments are proactively responded to

  • Work closely with Digital Media team to ensure all paid media is in sync and complimentary to larger Digital Team efforts while directly aligning to Social Team’s business goals

  • Work with relevant partner agencies as needed

  • Collaborate with Global Communications & Brand teams on various evergreen and campaign efforts and provide social expertise

  • Work collaboratively with regional and global social media teams to ensure content and campaign efforts are efficient and consistent

  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on ongoing social evergreen and campaign performance

  • Share feedback, case studies, best practices and learnings from insights gained from community management, content reports and social listening

  • Ongoing social media advocacy and education for corporate and hotel colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a social media management role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Communications, English or Tech-related

  • In-depth knowledge in both social media marketing and traditional marketing

  • Passion for travel, emerging social platforms and digital trends

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with both organic and paid social media content on key platforms, i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong time management, communication and organizational skills

  • Excellent writing and language skills

  • Proficient in various social media tools, Sprinklr is a plus

  • Experience with Photoshop or additional photo editing tools for content creation is a plus
