Grand Met Restaurant located at the Grand Hyatt DFW hotel in Terminal D at DFW Airport is recruiting for an Experienced Line Cook to support our breakfast, lunch, and dinner service offerings. Grand Met offers a sophisticated ambiance and innovative global cuisine. Flavors from around the world are seasonally inspired and artfully prepared in our modern show kitchen. The Experienced Line Cook requires good communication and culinary skills working in a fast-paced restaurant line, working multiple stations at one time and has cooking experience working breakfast, lunch service and dinner; culinary degree is recommended. Should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures, the ability to execute food service that is flawless in presentation, creative and following the recipes and specifications as outlined by our menus.

Qualifications:

  • AM/MID POSITION Expectations

  • Must have a passion for the culinary Craft to expand knowledge

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high volume breakfast/ brunch restaurant

  • Able to work all schedules including afternoon/holidays/weekends

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment

  • Food preparation and portioning prior to service

  • Able to adapt to customer needs under pressure

  • Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining quality set by the Chef De Cuisine

  • Step into any support role and maintain harmonious relationships with other support team members by being open to completing any task or function that will enhance the culinary experience

  • Able to receive criticism well and learn from it

  • PM Position expectations

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a high volume upscale restaurant

  • Able to work all schedules including afternoon/holidays/weekends

  • Able to adapt to customer needs under pressure

  • Maintain a high level of responsibility and attention to detail when cooking and plating product, without the need for direct supervision

  • Able to receive criticism well and learn from it
