Your Role

As Sous Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of theEvents Kitchen - Arabic Cuisine in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.

We are seeking someone who enjoys taking the extra mile to ensure the perfection of culinary products. This person enjoys the challenge of creating new dishes, paying extra attention to detail, and maintaining the highest standards of the products quality and consistency. In addition, we are seeking someone who is highly creative and enjoys interacting with internal and external guests.

Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef for Events Kitchen is responsible for managing their assigned kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction consistent with Grand Hyatt Doha and Hyatt International standards, through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Kitchen operation and administration.


  • In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations

  • Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and inter-personal skills

  • Proficient in general computer knowledge

  • A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment

  • Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner

  • Experience in Arabic Cuisinerequired

  • Must reside in Doha
