Hyatt Executive Chef in GUANGZHOU, China
To function as the Production Manager for the Food and Beverage Department, to ensure that all the outlets and banquets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.
Buys locally available fresh products wherever possible and has limited menus which are changed frequently to ensure that the guest is always offered a variety of food items.
Supervises Outlet Chefs and Commissary Kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments to ensure economical and timely food production.
Works together with the Director of Food and Beverage, encouraging creativity, supporting marketing and up-selling activities.
Recruits, selects, motivates and develops a culinary team to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies ensuring associate are multi skilled and perform multi tasksand etc.
Ideally with an apprenticeship or professional diploma in Food Production.
Minimum 2 years work experience as Executive Chef, or Executive Sous chef in larger operation.
Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity are a must.
