Hyatt Resort Transportation Driver in ISLE OF PALMS, South Carolina


The Sprinteris responsible for responding to the needs of the Resort Call Center, as well as the needs of management, front desk, dispatch, and all Resort guests. This position is primarily responsible for the transportation of guests throughout the Resort. Sprinters are also responsible for the periodic delivery of items to both guests and Colleagues with the same level of service. This position requires extensive guest contact. The overall attitude and the types of services rendered must be of the highest standards, quality, and professionalism. This position is empowered to exceed expectations and provide a solution to any challenges a guest may encounter doing their stay, which will help to promote return visits and build brand recognition.

Essential job FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides transportation for Resort guests

  • Assists with other guest requests, as well as those from other Resort departments, as assigned by the Resort Ambassador / Dispatcher

  • Responsible for the delivery of items to guests and other Resort departments

  • Occasionally inspects accommodations to ensure that have been cleaned to the Wild Dunes standard

  • Reports any noted unsafe conditions on the Resort to the Guest Services Manager or his/her designee

  • Supports and insures compliance with all policies and procedures as designated by Wild Dunes Resort

  • Retrieves outgoing mail and lost & found items from all Guest Service/Front Desk and housekeeping locations and returns them to the designated areas within the Wendi office

  • Maintains established inventory levels of towels, sheets, etc. kept in the Wendi office

  • Acts with a sense of responsibility towards all Resort property, supplies and equipment

  • Provides accurate key control and effective security for all vehicle and building “hard” keys, as well as Resort key cards, towel cards and issued “Z” keys

  • Performs on-site visits to units in order to verify whether or not guests have arrived on the Resort

  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests of Wild Dunes Resort, using the guest’s name (when possible), while in the process practicing good eye contact

  • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all Resort amenities, as well as any special events scheduled

  • Always maintains a professional, courteous and helpful demeanor and attitude with guests and Resort staff

  • Reports to work on time and according to the posted schedule, while maintaining accurate time records (i.e., punching in) for arrivals, departures, and required breaks

  • Maintains a professional appearance while following all Wild Dunes Resort dress code requirements



  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Must have valid South Carolina Driver’s license and meet Resort driving standards

  • Must be able to drive guests safely in extreme weather conditions (e.g., rain, wind, fog)

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

  • Must be able to work well under pressure

  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbal and written

  • Must be highly detailed orientated

  • Must have basic mathematical skills

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Must have excellent listening skills

  • Must possesses excellent communication skills

  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor

  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and Colleagues

  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

  • Working CONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs with assistance;

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently, along with occasional squeezing & overhead reaching;

  • Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;

  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (e.g., rain, wind, heat, cold);

  • Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (e.g., rain, wind, heat, cold).
