Hyatt Seasonal Housekeeping Quality Inspector in ISLE OF PALMS, South Carolina
Description:
Summary: The Housekeeping Inspector ensures that the overall unit cleanliness is at acceptable standards for the arrival and occupancy by Wild Dunes Resort guests. S/he is responsible for the inspection of housekeeping and engineering performance in homes and villas. S/he is responsible for transportation of housekeeping staff and supplies. S/he will assist in maintain the AAA Four Diamond Standards.
The Housekeeping Inspector shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Essential job Functions:
Performs ongoing quality inspections of units and takes corrective action as needed to address quality deficiencies
Inspects VIP units prior to arrivals
Ensures all housekeeping equipment is in proper working order
Works with Director of Housekeeping to order supplies and equipment
Knows all safety and emergency procedures and their role in assisting during these times
Adhere to strict department and resort attendance policies
Perform ongoing quality inspections of units and take corrective action as needed to address quality deficiencies particularly in regard to housekeeping issues.
Follow-up on unit inspections for corrective action as needed.
Coordinate daily operational needs with front office and property management staff.
Perform minor and general maintenance functions as required.
Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied rooms.
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues(such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms
Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
Communicates all pertinent information to the housekeeping team
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standards.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
Attend all monthly and required resort meetings

Qualifications:
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalentpreferred
Prior housekeeping/custodialexperience preferred
Prior hospitality experiencepreferred
At least one-year customerservice experience preferred
Job Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in TheUnited States
Must have a valid driver licenseand meet company driving standards
Must have excellent phoneetiquette

Must have strong computer skills

Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand on feetthroughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking;
Must be able to occasionallylift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance;
Must be able to perform simplegrasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movementsfrequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
Must be able to bend, squat,crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
While primarily an indoor job,must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain,wind, heat);
Must be able to climb stairsoccasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions(rain, wind, heat).
