The Montagu Kitchen is a modern British all-day dining destination, set in the heart of Marylebone, located in Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill where guests can come together to eat, drink, socialise, and relax. Inspired by the gardens at Chartwell - the private home of Sir Winston.

Churchill, in Kent – The Montagu Kitchen serve seasonal food using local suppliers and fresh British produce, which aims to reconnect diners with nature through simple dishes that bring a little bit of the gardens at Chartwell to the city.

About the role:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is accountable for all aspects of the F&B experience of the Montagu Kitchen Restaurant by focusing ultimately on both guest and colleague satisfaction.

Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:

  • To own and be a guardian of the Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill's F&B concept, ensuring every aspect of the operation delivers and stays true to this concept. This includes the Montagu Kitchen Restaurant operation but not limited based on operation needs.

  • To initiate action plans for areas of improvement within the outlet/department to support the Restaurant Manager

  • To assist in creating and implementing new concepts for the Montagu Kitchen as required.

  • To establish and maintain strong relationships with guests and continually explore new potential business opportunities in the outlet the position is occupied by on a weekly basis.

  • To ensure management needs are satisfied within the outlet while Outlet Manager is absent or when requested by the Director of F&B.

  • To assist the Outlet Manager with managing the team performance and recruiting future talent

  • To assist and support the Outlet Manager in achieving financial results

About you:

Gifted with great strength and ability, a person admired for achievements and noble qualities, one who shows great courage.

In a broad overview, you will support and coordinate all the activities of the entire restaurant team and restaurant operation throughout Breakfast – Lunch and Dinner, while maximising the experiences at the Montagu Kitchen Lounge at the same time. Experience in a similar role is required for this position.
