About theRole
As Lead Host – Rooms, Hyatt Place Essendon Fields, you will be the first point of contact for all internal and external guests whilst also assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the hotel through supporting all divisions. You will be required to work across both Food and Beverage as well as Rooms departments, with a main focus on both or either operations.
The Lead Gallery Host will have a strong leadership presence in the lobby as well as back of house whilst providing an excellent and consistent level of service to our guests and colleagues at all times, whilst also, displaying a courteous, professional and efficient service that supports the outlets concept and Hyatt Place standards.
Main Responsibilities
To be the main point ofcontact for both external and internal guests
Assist hosts with duties asrequired within Rooms, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage as well as all areasof the hotel
To be flexible and adaptableto work across both Food and Beverage and Rooms departments.
Resolve guests complaintsensuring guest satisfaction.
Manage hotel operations in theabsence of senior leadership team
Maintain complete hotelknowledge of all hotel features, services and hours of operation
To conduct and maintain Foodand Beverage inventory and ordering
Ensure the Front of Houseareas are well maintained, clean and tidy at all times.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in Hospitality is an advantage
Previous experience using OPERA PMS is essential
Previous experience as an administrative orleadership role within in a hotel is a must
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong time management with the ability to jugglemultiple demands
Exceptional attention to detail
Adaptable and able to solve problems quickly
