Hyatt Communications Coordinator in MIAMI, Florida
The Confidante is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our amazing team. Originally built in the 1940s, The Confidante is a vibrant and playful celebration of its retro-glam roots. As the Communications Coordinator you will be:
Expected to be responsible, organized, and fast thinking, being able to put calls through to the correct location/department without hassle and ensuring that the links between these calls are not broken.
Expected to be knowledgeable of all of the hotel offerings, policies and procedures. Provide callers with accurate information on resort facilities and services
Ensure effortless communication between all parts of the resort, this includes (but not limited to) incoming calls to the hotel from outside, internal calls between rooms or departments, and calls from the hotel to arriving guests.
Maintain (text) communication system with guest requests, questions and concerns.
Maintain radio contact with all departments
Assist front desk team with remote check outs and in house billing questions.
Input housekeeping requests into HotSOS and ensure adequate delivery times.
Knowledgeable of room types, availability and reservation details.
Assist Elite VIP Services Manager maintain Concierge mailbox
Respond to all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings, using proper salutation and closing.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
Responsible for guest In Room Dining orders from room via phone or mobile.
Punches the food and beverage orders on the Point of Sale system, Micros POS.
He/she should also coordinate guest amenities orders for the IRD runner to deliver.
This person will properly take all guests’ room service order; communicate them to the IRD runner or MOD and work to expedite their service.

Six months customer service experience preferred
Six Months of switchboard /PBX experience preferred
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal communication skills
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Proficient in basic computer skills
