Hyatt Shift Engineer/Licensed Stationary Engineer- $1000 Signing Bonus in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana


A Shift Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. A Shift Engineer will also perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred, along with basic trouble-shooting skills. A minimum of three years building maintenance experience is required with hotel experience preferred. Good communication skills are necessary.


This will be a highly specialized position as a licensed “Stationary Engineer” for the City of New Orleans. This individual would also possess extensive experience and knowledge in the “Plumbing” field. A $1000 sign on bonus ($200 upon hire and $800 at 90 days of employment).

Note, If a candidate has all qualifications but still studying to get the Stationary Engineer License by the City of New Orleans, we would consider his/her application with the requirement that the candidate takes and passes the New Orleans Stationary Engineer test and receive the license within 90 days of employment and Hyatt will provide the study materials and pay for the test, and a $500 sign on bonus ($100 upon hire and $400 at 90 days of employment).
