Hyatt Area Marketing Manager in NEW YORK CITY, New York

Description:

Reporting to the Directors of Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager of two NYC hotels, in conjunction with Hyatt’s corporate office, is responsible for the hotels marketing strategy, execution and on-going measurement. This is a highly visible role and requires a hands-on Marketing expert, who has a passion for the hospitality industry. This position will have an opportunity to expand our visibility in the market, through social media, tourism partnerships, experience activation and packing.

For the right candidate, this role won’t even feel like work.

  • Act as the property’s brand guardian; ensure all marketing and communications, both internal and external, are according to the Hyatt Brand standards

  • Content marketing through social media to develop and expand engagement aligned to a defined social media strategy, i.e. Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. Social media will be a large component of this role.

  • Liaison between Sales, Rooms, F&B, Spa and other departments, corporate office for marketing materials

  • Responsible for marketing, trade shows, company events, promotional collateral and event planning

  • Manage public relations with the local community and media. Work with tourism partners and attractions to develop new experiences on and off property. This is a large component of the role

  • Compose press release, featured articles and copywriting

  • Manage communications with marketing partners and corporate personnel

  • Property’s web master, liaison between corporate digital content team for website updates and quarterly audits

  • Manage, optimize, and adjust budgets for all campaigns (e.g. Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, Retargeting) in conjunction with Field Marketing

  • Facilitate tracking and reporting of all marketing initiatives

  • Oversee, facilitate and manage all interaction on social media web sites and campaigns and report on / provide insights for competitor social media activity to influence best practices

  • Manage marketing digital/print collateral for the property

  • Responsible for photography, film and image bank

  • Champion CRM and online reputation management

  • Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills

  • Create partnerships with Social Media Influencers

  • New York City experience is required

  • Prospecting for Entertainment and Media group business

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience, preferably in hospitality

  • Basic Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Analytics and InDesign skills considered an asset

  • Keen attention to detail & strong time management skills

  • A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A proactive self-starter. Need strong ability to set priorities and be resourceful under pressure

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of community and region

  • Ability to think creatively. Move concepts into completion with clear goals and measurement

  • Maintain a good working relationship with guests, groups, and personnel from other departments
