Hyatt On Call Server - Events (Banquet Server) in OAK BROOK, Illinois

Description:

Banquet servers are responsible for food and drink service at hotel banquet functions. They make sure function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event. This may include linen and table setting, food station design, and beverage service. Other duties include general banquet preparation, room refreshes, and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.

  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be available to work functions on Friday and Saturday evenings.

  • Availability on Sundays preferred.

  • At least 6 months of pervious banquet serving experience required.

  • Ability to work breakfast, lunch and dinners during the week preferred.

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to obtain a food handlers certificate within 30 days of employment

  • Must be able to obtain a basset certificate within 4 months of employment
