The Events Sales Manager for Mission Pacific Hotel and The Seabird Resort will get to work across a vast array of exciting projects, consulting with a diverse range of corporate clients, wedding planners and suppliers. Whether it is a smaller occasion or large celebration, the Event Sales Manager will benefit from being supported by an experienced in-house team to deliver memorable, inspiring and impressive experiences for clients. The Role

The Events Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing revenue through the development of catering business. Drive catering sales through incoming inquires and active solicitation of new business. Responsible for selling, planning, coordination and execution of all catering events for both hotels. Role must be available to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities Include

  • Acquisition and retention of business

  • Manage sales performance

  • Building and maintaining client relations

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of events including sending out proposals, preparation of Banquet Event Orders and final accounts.

  • Responsible for revenue forecasting of events in line with department budget objectives.

  • Oversee all event sales activities, execute strategy and manage the event.

  • Arrange and conduct site inspections with potential clients during the working week and also on weekends when required.

  • To be proactive in communicating with the Banquets, F&B, and Revenue team.

  • Communicate any comments relevant to events to departments concerned to improve addressed shortfalls, if any, within the operation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales and management experience in a similar role within the hotel or events industry is essential, preferably in a luxury resort environment

  • Exceptional sales, negotiation and closing skills

  • Experience with the planning and execution of events, with a preference in having wedding event experience

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to solve problems independently

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings

  • Two to Four Year college degree preferred
