The Assistant Operations Manager- Rooms is responsible for oversight of day to day processes and colleagues of the hotel’s Rooms and Food & Beverage divisions consisting of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, PBX, Security, Laundry, Recreation, Food & Beverage Outlets and Banquets. Duties would include but are not limited to resolving guest concerns, scheduling, coaching and counseling, maintaining department standards, staff development, interviewing/hiring, payroll and supporting the team members within these respective areas. The Assistant Operations Manager- Rooms is also responsible for maximizing room revenue, controlling expenses, and driving the highest level of customer service and scores. This individual conducts department meetings and pre-shifts to maintain open communication with colleagues.
Rooms experience preferred.

2-3 years of progressive hotel rooms management experience preferred.
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
