Hyatt Food & Beverage Attendant - Part Time in SAN DIEGO, California


At Hyatt, we believe our guests select Hyatt because of our caring and attentive colleagues who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful experiences. Food & Beverage Attendants are responsible for assisting with all food & beverage related needs throughout the hotel including:

  • Preparing, setting up, stocking, taking down, cleaning and providing quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.

  • Taking food and drink orders and delivering to guest room if necessary.

  • Bussing tables or retrieving trays and/or carts from guest rooms.

  • Inspecting and cleaning food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

  • Ensuring food is stored at correct temperature.

  • Ensuring freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotation stock.

  • Completing prep in advance as required by supervisor,

  • Responsible for the sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.

  • Following safe food handling and service practices at all times.

  • Responsible for food service set up and break down.

  • Restocking any necessary items during service hours.

  • Ensuring the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.

  • Providing excellent service to guests and internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

  • Handling all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.

  • Maintaining positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

  • Establishing a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.

  • Ensuring that brand standards have been implemented.

  • Responding to the results of the brand standard Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.

  • Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

  • Fully versed with all aspects of the Infrasys System.

  • Performing the function of cashier as required.

  • Maintaining par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required.

  • Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.

  • Having a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Food and Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.

  • Working in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments in line with our purpose.

  • Supporting the hotels target for NPS and customer service.

  • Supporting the implementation of our purpose, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s values, Hyatt regency guiding principle and leadership profile.
