Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our team as a Paymaster. The Paymaster will support “ A Seattle Collection ”, a multi-property cluster comprised of Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8 and Hyatt Regency Seattle.
ThePaymasterwillassist our Operational Managers of the Seattle Collection with day-to-day Payroll and provide support regarding their payrolls while ensuring to meet the terms of the Seattle Ordinances as they relate to Compensation and Payroll. Manage the activities of a centralized payroll department in carrying out payroll processing, as well as internal/external audits.
Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Ensures the Seattle Collection payroll department meets payroll needs and responding to inquiries and escalations from the individual hotels and outside vendors as necessary
Stays current on legal, contractual, and Hyatt policy in insuring Payroll Department is compliant
Provide payroll services for hotel properties with an emphasis on accurate and timely payroll runs and ensuring adherence to various internal audit requirements
Identify, assess, and report complex issues and problems to HR Manager with tools and processes to appropriate vendor or business partner, such as ADP and Workforce Management to ensure resolution
Participation in employee events, onsite meetings, hotel visits, is expected
Regular attendance is expected
Assist in developing and communicating with department heads to understand complex payroll processing, take responsibility for accurate payroll allocation, and reduce error occurrence through training and feedback with the team

1-2 years of payroll experience in a multi-location environment preferred.
A high level Microsoft Excel ability and proficiency with all other Microsoft office software required
Working Experience with KRONOS strongly preferred
Experience with internal and external audit controls preferred
Experience in Hospitality Payroll, including Tips and Service Charges, a plus
Ability to work in paperless environment preferred
