Hyatt Front Desk Manager in STOWE, Vermont

The Front Desk Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of the front desk team for Spruce Peak. The Front Desk Manager ensures the highest levels of guest service and that standards are in place. The Front Desk Manager must have a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays especially during peak guest occupancy.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee scheduling for employees in front desk

  • Assist in recruitment efforts and communicate with Director of Rooms and Human Resources about status of all open positions as well as the status for all applicants

  • Monitor and control staff performance by administering annual performance reviews for the team

  • Monitor payroll on a daily basis, submitting accurate payroll reports to accounting on a bi-weekly basis

  • Oversee the training and development of staff in such a manner as to ensure the highest level of guest service and satisfaction

  • Ensure proper procedures are followed during guest check in and out

  • Solicit guest feedback via guest comment cards and acknowledges guest preferences for future visits

  • Assist Front Desk Agents with billing, arrivals, departures, and guest satisfaction


  • Prior hotel supervisory or management background required

  • Hospitality Management Degree or Diploma is an asset

  • Good command of the English language, multi lingual is an asset

  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Property Manager

  • Flexible schedule to include all shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays

  • Knowledge of SMS, ADP, and Hyatt Rewardsis a plus

Like most other exempt jobs in the hospitality industry, this position requires a flexible schedule, possibly working in other departments, working holidays, weekends, events, and long hours as necessary.
