The Zephyr Rooftop bar is offering a Mediterranean style share menu where you will work to create a memorable experience and have a unique opportunity to be part of Sydney's hottest new rooftop venue!
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a creative culinary team and ensure that consistency and high quality products are prepared in accordance with the hotels expectations.
Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible to:
• Assist in the preparation and production of dishes to the highest possible standard • Assist in maintaining a minimal food cost by preparing and storing food items correctly • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and tidy at the end of service/shift • Assist with the daily requisition of food and equipment items • Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures are adhered to at all times • Assist in supervising other members of the kitchen team
Qualifications for this role include:
• Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery • Flexible to work hours based on business demands • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and Work Health & Safety standards • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar operation • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive team player
