Description:

The Director of Sales and Marketing has direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operations of the hotel. Responsibilities include the Sales, Marketing, Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. Additionally, this role leads the development and implementation of both short-term and long-term strategies in all sales, marketing channels to achieve hotel’s revenue goals and increase market share performance.

The Director of Sales and Marketing reports directly to the General Manager.

As a member of the property's Leadership Committee, the Director of Sales and Marketing is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership.

Key processes include but are not limited to:

  • Supportin the creation of the annual Hotel Business Plan

  • Tohelp create and execute the Sales and Marketing plan ensuring that all relevantmarkets are covered and that the plan is measured on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Managethe Sales & Marketing team on a day to day basis, ensuring they are meetingtheir financial targets and customer service criteria across a portfolio ofpre-defined accounts

  • Pro-activelydevelop new markets and new business segments.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years work experience ideally as Director of Sales & Marketing

  • Strategicorientation, as well as good problem solving, administrative and interpersonalskills are a must

  • Proficiencyin English

  • Intermediateor expert skill level in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products
