Hyatt Director of Revenue Management in TORONTO, Canada

Job Overview:

The Director of Revenue Management will be a key leadership team member for the hotel. They will report to the General Manager and Regional Director of Revenue Management. They will lead strategic revenue management that involves pricing, distribution, digital, and direct business. Responsibilities include optimizing hotel demand, maximizing revenues and segmentation. The Director of Revenue Management will work closely and collaboratively with sales, marketing, and operations. They will also be involved with business planning, budgeting and strategic repositioning.

Job Description:

· Translate demand trends and market conditions into revenue strategies used to realize the maximum revenue for the hotel.

· Lead the hotel’s analytical efforts as applied to room sales, ensuring a throughout understanding of STR results, competitive set demand and performance.

· Lead Weekly Revenue Meetings, provide insight and execute strategies pertaining to pricing, availability, market demand and promotional opportunities for all segments and channels.

· Monitor all channels and reservation sources to ensure bookings comply with set inventory and rate management strategies.

· Identify and communicate demand periods and work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing Teams to maximize results.

· Work collaboratively with Sales Team to ensure group bookings are with parameters, achieving strategic goals and overall hotel goals.

· Daily/Weekly/Monthly rooms report, forecasting, pace, and budget.

· Ensure and execute proper distribution of inventory and rates through GDS, website, call center, wholesalers, OTAs, and other channels.

· Collaborate and work with digital marketing team, reporting on performance using appropriate tools.

· Analyze campaign performanceby tracking marketing metrics and trends, like conversion rates and web analytics.

· Lead annual room revenue business planning and budgeting process utilizing research documents, trend reports, past performance metrics and other available information and tools.

· Communicate and report on topline rooms financials performance, trends, and forecasts regularly.

· Manage and optimize 3rdparty booking sources and OTA performance.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

· 2-5 years experience as a Manager in the hotel industry specializing in revenue management.

· Technologically savvy, expert in Microsoft Excel.

· Knowledge of PRIO Revenue Management System, Reserve CRS, Opera PMS, Travelclick Demand 360 and Rate 360.

· Also knowledge of Duetto, Sabre, INFOR, Google Analytics, Cendyn, Hoteligence, and OTA Insight.

· Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· College/university program certificate;

· Knowledge of online marketing methods and best practices.

· An ability to manage projects end-to-end.

· Strong communication skills along with a customer-oriented approach.

· Experience of direct and digital marketing ideally in a similar industry.
