About the Role – Reservations Agent
The Reservation Agent primary responsibility is to handle guest room reservation requests for the hotel, provide guest with hotel facility information and answer questions relating to the hotel and local area. The Reservation Agent will also work closely with Sales and Events Teams and assist with Group reservations. If you have experience as front desk or reservation agent, we'd love to hear from you!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answering reservation requests via phone and email including group, transient and wholesale
Provide personalized service to ensure all reservations requirements are handled professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner. This role is the property's in-house reservations department and is responsible for the oversite of the daily operation
Answering any question in regards to hotel amenities and local area
Being fully knowledgeable about all room types and their specifications
Knowledge about Hyatt’s Loyalty Program World of Hyatt
Liaise with Sales about Hyatt Prive, VIP bookings as well Group bookings
Process Group Reservations and Roominglist
Work Closely with off site revenue team
Prepare reports as needed
Post Cancellation charges
Serve as liaison with accounting department to ensure all billing requests are configured and executed as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Relevant experience in Reservations and/or Front Desk
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have clear and pleasant speaking voice
Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to think outside the box
Operational knowledge of Front Office Systems and Microsoft Office products
Must have excellent phone etiquette and the ability to multitask.
Requires excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly. Quick to grasp new information and systems
Engaged team player, focused on individual as well as team goals and results
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays
