Hyatt General Accountant in VENICE, Italy
We are looking for a candidate that oversee on site the finance processes, working in a cluster finance organization and reporting to the General Manager of the hotel (dotted line with Cluster Director of Finance)
TheFinancialAccountant is responsible to supervise and oversee the accounts payable, receivable, ledger, credit and all related areas, in conjunction with a cluster management and a shared service center based off-site
The Financial Accountant represents the on-site administrative source to provide daily support for operations and grant compliance with local gaap and Hyatt standards
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to perform general cashier duties, assist in accounts payable(with Cluster finance team)and accounts receivable, perform daily reconciliations, assist in month end functions and other misc. tasks as assignedand coordinate the staff when the manning will be reinforced
Prepare and review all journal vouchers, month-end reports and reconciliations
Ensures all disbursements and claims are supported by all necessary documents, processed and certified for receipt of merchandises or services in quality, quantity and prices.
Review preliminary financial statements with DoF
Participate in monthly financial reviews
Assist DoF with supervising Accounting staff and the Information Technology functions of the hotel including coaching and counseling associates to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures, interviewing, training and evaluating performance of staff.
Manage and help oversee hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel.
Assist with managing and ensuring compliance as per local and gaap and Hyatt standards
Assist DoF with completing the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Participate in and respond to auditor requests to ensure total hotel compliance.
Help prepare all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department staff in this process. Take initiative to manage trouble shooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancement
Assist DoF with special reporting and analysis projects
The responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management

Reconciliation Opera / Pos / corrispettivi (with Share service center)
Income Audit (control on statistical accounts)
City ledger control
Procurement: cooperation with HoDS
AP, utilization of Birchsteet
AP, month end accruals
AP, cooperation with Ownco for NON hotel invoices & expenses
AP, treasury and payments in conjunction with Cluster and Shared service center
AP: bookkeeping of hotel contracts and licenses
AP, monthly f24 payments
VAT payment in conjunction with Ownco
Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Finance, Commerce or Hospitality/Tourism management.
Minimum 2 years work experience as Senior Accountant in larger operation. Hoteliers is preferred.
Italian and English knowledge are mandatory.
Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
