Hyatt Housekeeping Supervisor in WAILEA, Hawaii

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to ensure the highest quality housekeeping and maintenance standards and performance for Destination Residences Hawai’i owners and guests. The Housekeeping Supervisor works with the housekeeping leadership team to build a strong team focused on high quality results.

  • Serves as a representative of Destination Residences Hawaii (DRH), displaying courtesy and Aloha to all owners and guests through positive action and attitude.

  • Effective and supportive team member, capable of sustaining the energy and momentum of the department in the performance of all job duties and responsibilities.

  • Generate a high level of morale and foster a spirit of teamwork and Aloha.

  • Responsible to perform residence inspections, release residents for occupancy, complete inspection checklist, provide feedback to staff and follow-up on gaps in performance standards with the Director of Operations.

  • Maintain and coach DRH housekeeping standards and room preparation.

  • Responsible to bill resale and service items needed in residence based on inspection.

  • Oversee execution of daily housekeeping services in coordination with residence managers, property coordinator, rooms control manager and front desk.

  • Escort vendors to residences and follow up on work performed as needed.

  • Report any maintenance work orders in a timely manner to ensure issues are corrected. Follow-up as needed.

  • Facilitate execution of housekeeping boards, daily checklists, and shift checklists.

  • Conduct inventory of tools, chemicals, and other supplies.

  • Report anyneeded stock and supplies for daily operation of housekeeping.

  • Perform all job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner while supporting and expecting the same level of performance from your staff.

  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Fulfill all job responsibilities and any additionally assigned tasks deemed necessary by the Director of Operations and General Manager.

  • Adhere to all applicable employee guidelines or standards set forth in the DRH Employee Handbook and Policies.


The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Possess knowledge of housekeeping standards and room preparation, as well as general maintenance knowledge and detailed resort maintenance understanding and capabilities.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 2 years housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry preferred. Housekeeping supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must have a valid Hawaii Driver’s License required with an acceptable driving abstract. Must be insurable within the DRH system.

  • Demonstrate a high level of skills in the areas of diplomacy, problem solving, and relationship building

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other operational systems. Ability to keyboard 50 – 60 words per minute.

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and days including holidays, weekends and evenings.

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague is regularly required to walk, stand, squat, and sit. The colleague is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the colleague will frequently be asked to use body, hands and arms to reach, carry, lift, push and pull a minimum of 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the colleague will experience temperature fluctuations, and moderate to high noise levels.
