Hyatt Rooms Control Host - Full Time in WAILEA, Hawaii
Andaz Maui at Wailea is the first resort for the Andaz brand. Situated on Maui’s premier southwestern coastline, the 15-acre beachfront resort is located along Mokapu Beach in Wailea, one of the most sought after leisure and resort destinations in the world. The luxury resort community of Wailea includes a 1.2 mile-long oceanfront beach path connecting five crescent-shaped, golden-sand beaches, a premier shopping center and distinguished restaurants.
The Rooms Control Host will be responsible for assisting the Front of House operation to provide team members with the tools to inspire our guests experience by providing back office support to the Resort Host team. This role will be based on the back office near the Front Desk and execute duties primarily outside of the guests’ view.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Block and assign rooms for future reservations in accordance with guest requests
Effectively maintain hotel room type inventory
Review arrivals in the day for the day to ensure accuracy
Ensure payment methods are up to date with folio balances and ensure billing is correct pre/post arrival
Detail group requests, routing, group credits etc.
Answer phone calls
Communicate effectively with the housekeeping coordinators to provide support to both operations
Support the Front Office Managers with office duties and special projects.
Knowledge of hotel rate codes and promotions to effectively communicate this information to respective departments
Support the hotel to deliver benefits of Hyatt’s loyalty program - World of Hyatt
Support the Resort Host operation as needed
· A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
· Refined verbal and written communication skills
· High Proficiency with OPERA, HotSOS, RESERVE, Colleague Advantage preferred
· Must have full time availability and be able to work on weekends and holidays
