Hyatt Security Supervisor in WAILEA, Hawaii


The Security Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel.Furthermore, they must make sure that all security devices and equipment are working correctly, create and manage schedules, monitor every security personnel's performance, and maintain a safe environment for everyone. Should there be any incidents, it is crucial to coordinate with the Director right away.

This person will respond to guest and colleague emergencies and should complete incident reports. This position requires schedule flexibility which includes AM/PM/Weekends/Holidays and Overnight shifts.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Develop effective relationships with the security department and hotel colleagues through clear communication addressing customer service inquiries in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Communicate to management personnel regarding issues and or situations occurring within the hotel, via both written and verbal communication methods.

  • Respond to medical emergencies to provide first aid, CPR or a support as needed until medical personnel arrives.

  • Create security department schedules and post.

  • Ensure timely “lost and found” item inspection is being conducted and maintain proper log of the inspection and kept in the shared drive.

  • Monthly inspections to include : AED, Fire Extinguisher, Eye Wash Station and First Aid Kits. All inspections should be logged in an excel spread sheet and saved in our shared drive with inspection date, person conducted the inspection and outcome of the inspection.

  • Monthly reporting which includes: Cardio Ready and Water Station. Maintain proper reporting backup to ensure the reporting was completed with dates and person reported the said information. Back up should be kept and saved on the shared drive.

  • Administer all reporting to include:

  • Theft report, guest concern report and prepare reporting in writing and seek final approval from the director.

  • Assist colleagues with PC365 call for all accident reporting.

  • Assist department manager in regards to accident/incident injury reporting in Risk Console when needed.

  • Schedule safety meeting, reserve space or Microsoft Team and send invites for the meeting.

  • Ensure safety meeting minutes are taken and saved in shared drive.

  • Send out daily: wellness check e-mail to all OGGAW colleagues.

  • Send out daily: “Today’s Tip” e-mail to all OGGAW colleagues.

  • Ensure to send out weather reporting when needed.

  • 1-3 years of security experience preferred.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.

  • Need Guard Card and CPR Certification.
