Miraval Austin (formally Travaasa Experiential Resort) sits nestled in 210 acres of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve overlooking beautiful Lake Travis and just 30 minutes from downtown Austin. Our property is currently undergoing extensive renovations, and will soon include 117 guest rooms, conference facilities, a beautifully-appointed restaurant with an exhibition kitchen and outdoor patio, full-service spa with infinity edge pool, fitness center, horse stables and covered arena, farm, a challenge course, and many other facilities and amenities available to our guests at this all-inclusive resort.

During our time of growth and expansion, we are seeking Line/Banquet Cooks (Full Time and Part Time) to join our growing team. Under the general direction of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef the Line/Banquet Cook will be accountable for providing flawless culinary service, be passionate about food and cooking and have a keen eye for detail. An intermediate line cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. An intermediate cook should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures. We are looking for a professional cook to prepare delicious meals for our guests according to the Chef’s recipes and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Refined verbal communication skills.
  • 2 years of previous line experience preferred.
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
  • Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push and carry moderate to heavy amounts of weight on a consistent basis.
