Hyatt Spa Coordinator-Full Time & Part Time in AUSTIN, Texas

Miraval Austin sits nestled in 210 acres of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve overlooking beautiful Lake Travis and just 30 minutes north of downtown Austin. Our property includes 117 guest rooms, conference facilities, a beautifully-appointed restaurant with an exhibition kitchen and outdoor patio, full-service spa with infinity edge pool, fitness center, horse stables and covered arena, farm, a challenge course, and many other facilities and amenities available to our guests at this all-inclusive resort.

We are seeking full-time and part-time/Spa Coordinators/to join our team. The Spa Coordinator is responsible for checking in guests at our Life in Balance Spa, scheduling and managing appointments and maintaining the spa facility including locker rooms, quiet lounge and pool deck. Acting as a liaison between guests, spa management and other departments of the resort when necessary. The Spa Coordinator must provide quality customer service experience and maintain a positive work environment for spa staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Welcomes guests to the Spa and provides friendly and efficient check-in.

  • Manage spa appointments, reservations and guest check-in/out procedures.

  • Perform all daily duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

  • Familiar with all resort services, amenities, features and activities to respond to guest inquires accurately.

  • Thoroughly cleans and maintains locker rooms and treatment facilities, folds towels, hangs robes, maintains refreshments, etc.

  • Maintain an ongoing expertise of all spa services and programs offered at Miraval.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and Miraval goals.

  • Performs all tasks and provides services in conformance with policies, procedures, work instructions, training, codes of conduct, recognized best practices, safety laws and regulations.

  • Willingness to perform a variety of related duties to support team members or improve the guest experience.

  • Must maintain a professional and friendly appearance and attitude at all times.

The environment is well-lighted, heated and/or air conditioned indoor office with adequate ventilation. May be occasionally exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. A calm and quiet atmosphere is required at the spa at all times.

* *QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * Must understand the basic principles of managing PMS system (ResortSuite). * Must be able to respond to individual guest needs and adhere to Miraval standards as written in the employee handbook.

  • Capable of dealing with stressful situations calmly and professionally.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn various software programs/applications.

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Possess a current CPR/First Aid certificate or can receive this certificate within 1 month of hire.

  • Open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.

  • A professional demeanor and appearance.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE * 1-2 years of experience in the Spa/Hospitality industry.
