Hyatt Sunriver Resort Nail Technician at Sage Springs Spa in BEND, Oregon

Description:

The Nail Technician is responsible for administering hand and foot treatments for guests. S/he will provide exceptional service to create an extraordinary guest experience. The Nail Technician will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards.

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival

  • Provides information to guests and members about treatmentsand services and provides demonstrations if needed

  • Performs various types of hand and foot treatments(manicures, pedicures, nail repairs, etc.)

  • Maintains proficiency in all components of hand and foottreatments

  • Promotes and sells spa products

  • Prepares and maintains treatment areas (removing soiledlinens, restocking, etc.)

  • Maintains consistent spa inventory and orders supplies asneeded

  • Ensures the privacy of all guests, adhering to drapingpolicies

  • Follows all guidelines regarding proper sterilization

  • Conducts pre-screening to determine any clientcontraindications, refers guests with medical issues to their physician

  • Promotes home regimen program to clients

  • Adheres to time length and treatment protocols

  • Assists with the promotion of treatment services atmember/guest orientations

  • Maintains a strong knowledge of spa trends, especiallyfocusing on hand and foot therapy

  • Performs Spa Reservations Agent duties as required

  • Provides general resort information for guests

  • Offers warm and sincerewelcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name& good eye contact with each guest

  • Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absenceof manager

  • Maintains records for all VIPs, special requests, etc.

  • Attends appropriate resort and departmental meetings

  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resortamenities as well as any special events

  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner,assisting other departments with necessary information

  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests

  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude

WORKINGCONDITIONS:

  • Must be able to sit throughout the shift, with intermittentperiods of standing and walking

  • Must be able to lift and hold up to 25 lbs occasionally

  • Must be able to lean forward, twist and bend frequently

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation,squeezing and repetitive hand & arm movements constantly

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE& EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least one year previous experience in a similar settingpreferred

  • Valid Oregon cosmetology license to perform nail carerequired

  • At least one year customer service experience required

JOBREQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid workpermit

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

  • Must have a strong passion for assisting guests in attainingtheir beauty and wellness goals

  • Must be able to work well under pressure

  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, bothverbally and written
