The Sous Chef - Pastry will be responsible for the operation of the Pastry kitchen, ensuring that all the outlets and events operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel, and that they are individually profitable. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that all chefs within the Pastry Kitchen are working productively. Along with your roles as an operational Sous Chef, ensuring the brand standards are maintained, you will also assist with the day to day administration of the department, dealing with any associate issues and queries. You will ensure that all Chef's are actively engaged in their roles and will assist to maintain motivation in the department.

You will work on a shift rota basis. Due to the nature of the business, particularly during busy periods, you will be expected to work overtime when required.

Qualifications:
With experience as a Sous Chef in an Pastry kitchen environment looking for your next challenge in a high end establishment, or a Junior Sous Chef looking for your next career step; preferably with experience in luxury international brands. Qualifications in Kitchen Production (e.g. NVQ in Food Preparation or equivalent) will be required. Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential. Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
