To ensure the smooth and efficient of the Sales department, covering both the catering & events sales, Hyatt Regency Chantilly is seeking an industry star to join our professional 4-star hotel Event Sales Team.
This is a critical position within our Sales, Events and Marketing Department. This exclusive position will be responsible for selling the hotel as a premium special events and wedding location and driving revenue to achieve set sales targets.
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving new business from the weddings, leisure, social and corporate market segments. The Wedding and Event Sales Manager works with guests from initial enquiry all the way through to contracting, and works closely towards a successful handover to our Event Planning professionals. As a customer service leader, you will be immaculately presented at all times and focused on delivering an exceptional experience. This role will include weekend work and most frequently will be a Tuesday to Saturday roster.
* A Degree/Diploma in Business/Hotel Management or equivalent * Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work within a team environment and communicates in a positive manner * Great organization skills matched with excellent attention to detail * A genuine and notable drive to think outside the box and provide a consultative sales approach that is empathetic to our clients' needs as well as meeting business objectives * Comfortable in a competitive environment with evidence of personal ambition to improve * Exceptional ability to build rapport and develop creative solutions to suit dynamic client needs * Excellent problem solving abilities, administrative skills, and interpersonal skills * Positive and professional attitude * A minimum of 3 years' experience in a hotel sales role or similar ideally within a 4-5 star environment
