Hyatt Audio Visual Technician in CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina
This position may be handling special projects for a specific role, including administrative any analytical support for the catering department. Does not carry an account base nor a quota. Is not eligible for a bonus. Under the direction of a Events Manager, may develop new leads and research new business potential within an assigned market. May make direct calls on potential clients.
In addition, some of the following duties may be assigned to a Event Representative: market research, meeting connections (service only) and/or small meetings, business development coordinator, etc.
* Able to match customer needs with equipment that best suits their request * Responsible for the safety and security of AV equipment at facility * Must remain on premises as needed during meetings and events * Effective communication skills with internal staff and external clients * Troubleshoot equipment failures during customer meetings * Positive & effective interaction with customers & colleagues * Must be flexible & available for evening and weekend events * Tentative Schedule:Weekdays between 7a-6p & occasional nights and weekends Qualifications: * 2 years of digital audio video control and troubleshooting experience preferred * Prior hotel audio visual experience a plus * MS Windows proficiency required * Mac proficiency preferred * CTS certification preferred * Able to occasionally lift 10-20 lbs, unassisted * Able to occasionally climb ladders
