Coastal Provisions, Charleston’s Island Resort’s signature restaurant and bar, is tucked inside the Boardwalk Inn lobby. Overlooking the pool, the Isle of Palms restaurant design was inspired by Charleston’s rich sailing history. Weathered driftwood floors, curated natural materials and a colorful coastal palette create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Bright and cheery in the morning and afternoon, alluring and romantic in the evening, enjoy our upscale dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Classic and craft cocktails are concocted at the vibrant bar. Colorful summertime cocktails and bites are served in poolside cabanas.

Essential Job Functions: * Clear and reset tables according to specifications of restaurant standards * Adhere to steps of service using the service standards manual * Ensure tables are pre-bussed throughout shift * Polish silverware and ensure china and glassware are not chipped * Work diligently to avoid breakage and loss * Complete all opening, on-going, and closing side work and have manager sign off on work * Stocks/restocks appropriate linens * Stocks/restocks work stations with appropriate glasses, plates, and saucers * Informs server of any potential guest issues * Remove dishes, glasses, silverware, and other items from tables and countertops and take them to the kitchen for proper sanitation * Sanitize all tables after clearing tables * Perform food preparation duties such as, bread and butter set ups, condiment preparations, filling water & tea pitchers and any other prep as assigned * Provide general resort information to guests * Maintain an up to date working knowledge of resort amenities and activities * Attend all mandatory meetings * Provide assistance to other resort staff as needed

Qualifications:
*Experience and Education:* * High school education required * Prior food and beverage experience preferred * At least six months customer service experience preferred

*Job Requirements:* * Must be authorized to work in the United States * Must be at least 16 years of age * Must be able to read, write, and speak in English * Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written * Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, under pressure * Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

*Working Conditions:* * Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift for extended periods of time * Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height; and occasionally life and carry up to 50lbs * Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs * Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, overhead reaching, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently; and squeezing occasionally
