Hyatt Huey%27s Restaurant Supervisor in CHARLESTON, South Carolina


Summary : The Huey’s Supervisor will provide leadership for the Huey’s colleagues. The Supervisor will monitor all expenses. The Supervisor will provide all information necessary for the colleagues to give outstanding customer service to each of our guests. The Huey’s Supervisor will assist with the service flow of the Huey’s.

The Huey’s Supervisor shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential job Functions:

  • Makessure all standards of food & beverage departments are met

  • Prepares,serves, and cashiers food for members and guests as needed

  • Handlesall labor & revenue forecast / actual reports in a timely manner

  • Incharge of Payroll Administration

  • Hires,orients, & trains new colleagues and provides ongoing training for colleagueson a regular basis to maintain and enhance WDR standards.

  • Maintainsa work environment that is fun, fair, clean and safe for the colleagues

  • Practicesand adheres to all health inspection, OSHA and safety requirements toensure 100% compliance.

  • Ensuresthat labor costs, food and beverage costs of sales, expenses and profitare in line with budgeted figures or percentages

  • Coachesand, as necessary, counsels colleagues for improved performance

  • Providesfor orientation and training of all new hires to ensure well trained andhighly productive staff

  • Plansand conducts monthly staff communication meeting to increase staffawareness, disseminate information, conduct required monthly training andreview Standards of Excellence

  • Assistsin the development and implementation of new menus to ensure properpricing strategies and selections

  • Incharge of monthly inventory of food and beverage; ensures accuracy

  • Postsweekly schedules

  • Demonstratesprofessional demeanor & attire at all times

  • Reportsany F&B related concerns to F&B Director

  • Providescoverage for any schedule discrepancies when necessary

  • Incharge of ordering certain supplies for the Huey’s.

  • Followdaily cleaning check list for each station.

  • Communicateto Chef when a work order needs to be submitted to engineering

  • Communicateto Chef when product needs ordering: Food and non-food.

  • Propermaintenance of all walk-in and reach-in coolers. Ensure all stock is beingrotated, wrapped, labeled, and dated.

  • Cleanlinessof the Kitchen and equipment.

  • Reportingsafety and security issues promptly and correctly

  • Know allemergency procedures

  • InformsEngineering department of any repairs to be made & schedulespreventive maintenance to ensure the wellbeing of the Huey’s assets

  • Ordersuniforms for staff members

  • Handlesany additional duties that are given by F&B Director

  • Attendsmeetings related to division

  • Mustknow and demonstrate the Wild Dunes core values

Colleagueis held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.


Experience & Education:

  • Highschool diploma, or GED required

  • Minimum2-year degree in hospitality or equivalent experience

  • Knowledgeof casual dining food and beverage preparation and service

  • Priorsupervisory experience, preferably in a food & beverage outlet

  • Knowledgeof casual dining food and beverage preparation and service

  • Historyof success in increasing sales

  • Provenproblem-solving skills

  • Possessa true understanding of Guest Service

  • Abilityto work a flexible schedule every day of the week, including holidays

  • Previousbudget preparation and forecasting experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must bea United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

  • Must beable to read, write and speak English

  • Must beat least 18 years of age

  • Must beable to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written

Working Conditions:

  • Must beable to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, sun, heat)

  • Must beable to stand on feet and walk throughout the day

  • Must beable to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis

  • Must beable to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height

  • Must beable to bend, squat, push, pull frequently

  • Must beable to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand& arm movements frequently; squeezing and overhead reachingoccasionally
