This position will be responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations for the property. Responsibilities include effectively soliciting existing/potential accounts and business generators to contribute to the overall revenue of the hotel. Through the use of provided tools, the ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate with both clients and management and be a motivated, self-starter as well as able to take direction with a desire to contribute to the success of the property and the entire company

The National Sales Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Essential job Functions:

  • Secure group business for the resort.

  • Solicit new and existing group accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through business development, telephone solicitation, outside calls, site inspections, and written communication.

  • Participate in sales presentations, trade shows, property site inspections and customer meetings.

  • Interact with all departments of the resort while working in a fast paced, active sales office.

  • Attend department and property meetings

  • Perform general office duties and assist other personnel, as required

Compensation:

  • $65-75k salary incentive plan (uncapped).

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma required

  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel Group Sales required

  • Working knowledge of hotel/resort strongly preferred

  • A good understanding of Sales and Conference Planning procedures

  • Experience with hospitality software preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Must have strong financial competence

  • Must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

  • Must have strong computer skills with astrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Colleagues

  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.

  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat).
