Hyatt Analyst - HRIS Reporting & Analytics in CHICAGO, Illinois

The HRIS Reporting Analyst collaborates with the HRIS applications, Human Resources and Payroll groups to facilitate accurate, efficient reporting from a variety of Human Resource systems. This position is primarily responsible for gathering and interpreting data requests, building and running reports, testing, communicating reports and data visualizations to customers. This position is part of the IT-HRIS team and reports to the HRIS Analytics and Systems Integration Manager. The position is located in the heart of Chicago’s downtown loop.

Position Responsibilities and Essential Functions * Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of employee and company related data, including how and when it should be utilized to meet colleague needs. * Identify the appropriate sources of data (Enterprise Data Warehouse, individual HRIS systems, etc.) to meet reporting requests. * Design, develop and test reports utilizing some combination of ADP Enterprise Reporting Systems (ADP-Reporting & ReportSmith), PeopleSoft Query, Taleo, and/or Cornerstone and * LMS Reporting tools, Access, SQL, Tableau, and other tools. Aggregate data from multiple systems as needed. * Execute audit checks and annual validations; make recommendations for process improvements based on audit results to ensure data integrity and adherence to all Data Governance policies and procedures * Use statistical and research methods to perform studies of key relationships and patterns in the data. * Help manage reporting system upgrades. * Manage customer expectations through frequent communication and progress reports adhering to published Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times. * Analyze and troubleshoot reports and reporting systems. Research and resolve all data quality issues for responsible data objects * Create and maintain reporting & analytics documentation including end-user, system administration guides and data dictionary. * Function as a backup analyst on HRIS projects including SQR functional specifications, system customizations data integrity auditing and data visualization/dashboards. * Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values focused on caring for people so they can be their best. * The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Experience * Minimum 2 years report writing required (skills should include combining tables, inner and outer joins, etc.) * 1 year of report building experience OR 6 months report building plus 1 year of HRIS/HRMS or database system administration experience required * 6 months of experience gathering business requirements required. * 6 months of testing experience preferred * PeopleSoft Query and ADP-Reporting experience a strong plus * SQL reporting skills a plus * Human Resources data or employee data reporting experience a strong plus * Experience or exposure to globalized employee or HR data preferred * Human Resources or payroll functional knowledge a plus Education * High school graduation or GED required * College education preferred * Basic to advanced statistical and research training preferred.
