Hyatt Cindy%27s Operations Manager/Sommelier in CHICAGO, Illinois


Cindy's Operations Manager should possess strong leadership, communication, organization and hospitality skills. They are expected to support senior leadership by developing and assuming management responsibilities. This role leads other associates by coaching and giving direction while leading by example. Responsibilities may include training, scheduling, payroll processing, and interviewing. Cindy's Operations Manager must demonstrate fundamental food and beverage knowledge and serve as the liaison between culinary and restaurant operations. This position plays a significant role in the overall outlet performance, which includes product quality and service standards.

Additionally, oversee and curate the Cindy’s wine program. To provide and manage a comprehensive wine selection, in order to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue. To ensure that courteous, professional, knowledgeable and efficient wine service is being offered, consistent with Cindy’s standards, policies and procedures. Continuing training of Cindy’s team members on the wine being offered. Retrieve, open, present, and pour wine for guests while on shift.

  • Interest in continued wine knowledgeeducation.

  • Minimum Level One Sommelier certification.

  • Uphold corporate mandates and currentagreements in place with purveyors.

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Micros, Hotschedules, Avero, and Resyknowledge a plus

  • Open Availability
