Summary At Hyatt Hotels, Cyber Security is a very important part of our mission to take care of people so they can be their best. The Jr. Architect – Cyber Security plays a crucial role in completing that mission every day by ensuring that Hyatt applies innovative mechanisms to protect the data and privacy of our guests and colleagues at the beginning phase of new projects and efforts.
Responsibilities * Act as first point of contact and consultation for IT and business teams launching new efforts, providing innovative thinking on the best ways to protect privacy and security. * Review new systems designs and major infrastructure modifications for security implications prior to implementation for both corporate and hotel applications. * Review and understand Hyatt’s existing architectures and platforms (including cloud solutions) to identify and remediate integration challenges. * Perform security reviews of Hyatt’s core applications and systems and recommend security enhancements. * Partner with Enterprise Architecture on integrating the Cyber Security Risk Management Framework into new development and application models. * Coordinate efforts of Security Operations, Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, and GRC teams to ensure all required security inputs are taken into account in new projects. * Work with development teams during sprint efforts to ensure they make the right decisions when handling large volumes of guest and colleague data. * Maintain Hyatt’s Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and update Enterprise Architecture documentation to ensure the latest code quality, identity management, and security best practices are captured. * Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values * The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Experience * At least three years of experience in Cyber Security is preferred; however, any combination of experience, education, or certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable. Education * A Bachelors degree or better in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or any other security-related subject is preferred; however, any combination of education, experience, or certification that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations * A CISSP or equivalent certification is preferred; however, any combination of certification, education, or experience that demonstrates the candidate can be successful in the position is acceptable. Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job * Experience with Cyber Security Architecture, Engineering, Operations, or GRC preferred * Experience with identity management principles, data privacy principle, CIS CSC20, or PCI-DSS preferred * Experience with modern development frameworks, DevOps, and build pipelining preferred
