Hyatt Marketing Manager in CHICAGO, Illinois


The Marketing Manager shapes and executes an overall marketing strategy for the hotel along with its RB outlets. Coordinates with sales team in order to ensure alignment of marketing and sales strategies. Evaluates past programs/events and develops new programs in order to generate revenue and meet or exceed goals. Monitors relevant national marketing programs, channels, platforms, and initiatives.


  • Develops and implements property and market-based plans based on local need-time and demand generation opportunities adhering to consistent visual and written brand identity (phone, video and design as well as tone, copywriting and content)

  • Maintains and grows hotel business with effective marketing plans and programs special attention to digital marketing strategy and content development, overall programming & rooms emails strategy and blog management

  • Focuses on project management of all marketing initiatives to create customer loyalty and increase market share.

  • Focuses on building hotel’s top line revenue by executing against the sales strategy.

  • Analyzes, develops, and directs the property in decisions for marketing, PR, partnership and social influencer opportunities.

  • Provides marketing channel mix (e.g. advertising (on and off line), promotions, public relations, direct mail, email, and demand generator links) planning as part of the overall property and market cluster plans.

  • Manages partnerships including; ad deployment, digital media relationships/influencers, community partners (civic, cultural, culinary), associations, on-site partners (ie Shake Shack) and industry

  • Supports upkeep of websites; online store, vanity site content & structure and manage and draft ongoing content submissions

  • Develops, maintains and executes social strategies- including creative, design, and photography for all social media channels

  • Oversight of all social channels and engagement with fans- including targeted and boosted social media posts and promotions

  • Administer and maintains the budget in a fiscally responsible manner

  • Vets, executes, and overseeing on location film/photography shoots – includes oversight of load in/out, contract negations, etc. to drive additional top line revenue

  • Maintains hotels brand identity and ensuring all departments, guest rooms, and public spaces reflect this

  • Responsible for overall website management which requires strength in graphic design as well as successful deployment of ad campaigns on various social channels

  • Experience with Sprinklr, Adobe suits of products (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and professional photography all preferred
