Hyatt Sr. Manager – Data Privacy and Information Governance in CHICAGO, Illinois

Description:
Hyatt is seeking an experienced person to support all aspects of the Hyatt Data Privacy and Information Governance Program (the “Program”), including review and deployment of enterprise wide privacy, data, and records management best practices, support compliance initiatives for applicable laws (such as GDPR and CCPA), assist with data access requests, support in data breach/incident response matters, review and revise corporate records policies and scheduling, and development and delivery of Program training for all Hyatt colleagues. In addition this position will also support other compliance and operations functions within the Hyatt Legal Department This position will be expected to work cross-functionally with IT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Risk Management, and Operations to develop best practices. * Work as part of the Privacy Team to improve, develop, and maintain Hyatt’s global privacy program. * Conduct data inventory reviews, privacy assessments, and compliance reviews of internal systems and third party data feeds. * Work with the Privacy Team to identify and implement required changes throughout Hyatt for the Program, including training and communication outreach strategies for the Program to instill awareness, integration and reinforce compliance by all Hyatt colleagues. * Work with the Incident Response and Data Breach Teams to effectively and quickly respond to incidents globally. * Formally create systematic revision processes for the Program and work with the Privacy Team to implement enhancements and communications. * Work cross-functionally to help Records Coordinators, IT System Owners and IT Business Owner in each department, region, and at the hotels to implement best practices for compliance with Hyatt’s policies. * Review and revise corporate business policies to achieve consistency with the Program requirements. * Work closely with Hyatt’s Records Management vendors to assist with overall program improvements and changes in the business. * Work with the Privacy Team and various other functional teams, including IT, to establish requirements for the management of all repositories, incorporate privacy and lifecycle management requirements into systems design and closeout, and manage records lifecycle with IT and IT Legal counsel. * Collaborate with IT and corporate functional groups to plan and develop support for information management strategies within the corporate disaster preparedness and business continuity program. * Assist the litigation team on discovery requests and Legal Hold/eDiscovery Program administration. Qualifications:
Experience * Minimum of seven or more years of experience including significant experience in one or more of the following practice areas: Privacy, commercial operations, Information Governance, Information Systems, or a related field * Demonstrated ability to manage and improve operations. * Ability to function effectively as a Project Manager for multi-department projects * Proven ability to lead teams, articulate program goals, and provide leadership at all levels * Excellent written and oral communication skills 1. Preferred ExperienceExperience working with large IT departments 2. Experience working with international companies which process large amounts of private and sensitive information 3. Experience supporting incident response/data breach programs

Preferred * Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Security Professional (CISP), or equivalent * Certification, Affiliation or active participation in privacy or records management organizations (IAPP, ARMA, AIIM)

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job * Experience with using electronic systems, including the Microsoft Suite of products and specifically SharePoint Additional Comments and Requirements * Demonstrated ability to manage and improve operations. * Ability to function effectively as a Project Manager for multi-department projects
