Hyatt Vice President – IT Enterprise Applications in CHICAGO, Illinois
Leads the Enterprise Applications team within the Information Technology department supporting Financial, Human Resources, Legal, and Workforce Management systems. Manages a sophisticated and highly skilled technical workforce of over 100 colleagues globally, and oversees a budget exceeding $30M per year. * Oversees a global team of technical professionals and support staff. * Directs the selection, procurement, and implementation of key Financial, HR, and Legal software systems. * Acts as a primary technical and process resource for supporting major corporate governance and compliance activities (SOX and ITGC). * Manages a budget exceeding $30M * Acts as primary IT liaison for Finance, Legal, and Human Resources. * Assists with the establishment of 5-year plans and strategies for IT. * Presents recommendations to ExCom or Board of Directors as appropriate. * Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values (included in all job descriptions). Experience * * 8 years minimum progressive technology / line-of-business management experience * 15 years of general technology experience, with at least 3 years in Financial and HR systems. *Education * Bachelors Degree preferred * Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, MIS, or Computer Science strongly preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations * ITIL certification preferred. Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job * Strong understanding of modern Human Resources, Financial, and Legal business systems is required * Background in application development using agile and waterfall project management is preferred. Additional Comments and Requirements * Strong communications skills are required, for constituents at all levels of the company including the ExCom and Board of Directors * Frequent international travel (20%) may be necessary.
